Photographers shindig

The first cool thing that happened this weekend was getting off the airplane in Hamilton. This is such a nifty experience because you get off ouside….which results in me feeling like I’m a movie star. Second cool thing is there were three girlfrends there to meet me with signs that say “WELCOME HERE JODI”! Doesnt’ get much better than that. The coolness factor just kept getting higher as the time went on.  The thing I love about Krista (edisonphotography.com) is her ability to stop and enjoy whats happening in front of her. We went for a nice walk in the fog and then she suggested for us to stop and watching the lightning bugs for awhile. Such a great suggestion. We all sat on the gravel road in the middle of nowhere and watched as the lightning bugs danced around for us. Simple, beautiful entertainment.

That night I got to sleep in bunk beds with Rachel from PEI. I felt like a kid again…. talking and laughing till our eye lids could no longer stay open. Then when I woke up there were two sweet girls who treated me with a delightful breakfast in bed. Now if that’s not awesome enough, when i went to get dressed I found a treasure chest full of dress up clothes…….how can one ignore such a sight??? After finding a puffy skirt, furry striped vest and beach hat I headed down to greet the others.

The  day continued with a photographers potluck, cameras everywhere and a chance to meet and reconnect with other fabulous, talented people. Loved every minute. Thanks for sharing your lives with me.
