I had the awesome opportunity this winter to give back. I’ve been given so much and am so grateful for everything I’ve been blessed with. Being born in Canada has given me opportunities that most people will never get to have. I grew up in a great home, was able to attend an awesome school, go to college, start my own business, marry a talented man, have a closet to hold my clothes, shelter from the cold and on and on and on and on. Too often we think we have been given all of this just for us to enjoy.

I think we’ve been given it all so we can in return bless those who don’t have, basically because of where they were born geographically.

I got to go with Shine Dental to the Dominican to love on some beautiful kids. They did dental work for free, for a week, and I got to go along to take photos, spend time with the kids, teach in the school, and basically serve however or wherever I could. The funny thing is over there they have so little and yet they are so stinkin happy. Here, we have so much and yet sometimes find it hard to smile.

If you ever have a chance to go and serve in a place where there is need…do it. You won’t regret it.
