Last night we had our first fire of the season out in our backyard. The smell of wood burning brings back so many warm memories. We sat for hours watching the flames, enjoying the heat and chatting about our camping plans for this summer. Then today I ventured out for a nice long stroll through the park. On my way home I took a break at a cute little bench overlooking the river and enjoyed the gorgeous view. The water was rolling down at a ridiculous pace, the sun was glistening off of the water and the breeze hitting my face brought deep refreshing. Across the park, kids wearing their rubber boots were stomping through the few puddles they could find, laughing and being silly.
I LOVE spring so much. The demonstration of everything old becoming new again. Simply beautiful.
